Mike Bartling, co-founder of Rincon Technology, brings deep product and market knowledge to his role as EVP, Sales and Purchasing. While his sales experience includes industries such as insurance and pharmaceuticals, his focus for the last six years has been telecommunications – specifically, the buying and selling of re-deployed (used) telecommunication and data-networking products.
Most recently, Mike was Director – North American Wireline Sales with Somera Communications, where he developed and led a team of sales executives whose target market was emerging carriers. Under Mike’s leadership, this team generated over $40M in revenue, gained access to over $100M in consigned inventory and directly purchased over $20M in targeted used product. Mike also pioneered Somera’s optical, IP and ATM product sales in the North American market and led training on these product lines.
At Rincon, Mike is responsible for collaborating with Jason Kelly (see above) in shaping corporate strategy and for driving revenue through the sale and sourcing of telecommunication and data-networking products. He holds a B.S. in chemistry from UCSB and has participated in pre-sales trainings for manufacturers such as Cisco, Nortel, Lucent, Juniper, Fujitsu, ADC, and CAC. |

Patrick’s sense of humor is matched only by his sense of urgency – two traits that make all his interactions enjoyable and successful for his customers. He holds a B.A. in English from UCSB, has participated in pre-sales trainings from Cisco, Nortel, Lucent, and Fujitsu, and is also a poet.
